"I'm a runner, but I've never done a race like this before. My team & I ran around NYC to uncover some hidden gems of this city. Who knew Manhattan houses a piece of the Berlin Wall, an African burial ground site, or a wonderful statue of Mahatma Gandhi?! After this race my team & I had a better appreciation of just how diverse our city really is. We were the victorious team, and it was due to collecting take-out menus for almost 30 different cuisines...now that's a lot of types of food! Since the race I've shown friends some of the treasures I uncovered from this experience, and overall I had a great time participating in this race."

"The Amazing NY Race is exactly what it sounds like; a scavenger hunt inspired by everyone's favorite TV show. It's like an eclectic tour of NY on speed - racing from odd tourist attractions to hidden statues all in the midst of the millions of people moving about the borough of Manhattan. It's the greatest distraction and the most fun you'll have without leaving the city. Bring comfortable shoes, comfortable companions and your desire to win. I love running in the race every summer. I've gotten multiple friends to join in and they've all come back to share it with their friends. The head to head race to the finish line competition is awesome."

"I love the Amazing Race show; I've never missed an episode. When I came across the ad on Craigslist I couldn't resist signing up. I've lost track but I've competed at least 4 – 5 times. Each time I've introduce a new friend to come out and run around the city with me. It's a great work out; it's fun, adventurous, creative, educational and exciting. Mary will always have a promoter and get free advertising from me. I can't resist, due to a busy 2007 I was not able to compete in all the races but I'm gearing up for 2008."
